Ruwantha Cooray

Ruwantha Cooray is a former ATP world ranked tennis player from Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Born and brought up in Sri Lanka, Cooray started playing tennis at the age of five, following in the footsteps of his father. His younger brother, Rukmal Cooray, is also a world ranked tennis player and is currently the number one men's tennis player in Sri Lanka.
Prior to an unfortunate accident, Cooray was the junior national tennis champion of Sri Lanka. After a strong fight back, he is now reaching the same impressive levels of performance as he once showed. At the age of 14 he was already ranked in the low 700s.
Cooray is currently studying at university and hopes to continue playing tennis at a competitive level.
