Rygge sivile lufthavn AS is a Norwegian company that owns and operates Moss Airport, Rygge that will open in October 2007. The company was created in 1999 and received permission in 2004 to build a private civil airport at Rygge Air Station.[1]
The company is owned by Thon Group (40%), Orkla Group (20%), Borregaard (20%), Østfold county administration (11%) and Østfold Energi (9%).[2] Københavns lufthavne previously also owned part of the company, but sold their share in 2004. The company is the only airport operator in Norway that is not controlled by the government or by local municipalities or counties.
