Süleyman Başak

Süleyman Başak is a Turkish-Cypriot financial economist. He is currently on the faculty of the London Business School and has previously taught at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Başak received his undergraduate education at the University College of London and his graduate training at Carnegie Mellon University.
Professor Başak is extremely popular among students for his eccentric teaching style. He created many unique expressions that students use a lot outside the class. Sometimes the phrase is usual and it's all about the intonation. The most famous are:
- 1) People taking the Fixed Income course are referred to as "Fixed Income Warriors".
- 2) The stock price can go either "up, or DOWN, DOWNTOWN!!!"
- 3) Başak famously proves that Love is not consistent with Fixed Income.
- 4) "Should I exercise the callable bond when it is it out of the money? "... Basak: "no unless you are a little bit funny !!!"
- 5) "Replicaaaaatiooooooon !!! "
- 6) "why do you do this to yourself " "Why do you do this for your loved ones?"
- 7) "you foreigners !!! the family dog and your loved ones ????"
- 8) "Whayyyyy natttt " with a high shreik...
- 9) Drinks coke once it gets messy on the blackboard and then stares at the coke can : "AAHHHH ..."
