Sadri Alışık

Sadri Alışık Mehmet Sadrettin Alışık(5 April 1925 İstanbul, 18 March 1995 İstanbul) was a popular Turkish film actor. His untimely death followed a liver transplant.
He was a prolific actor. His movies that depicted poor, uneducated people of the society who were happy and believed in love the most were very popular in the 1960s and 1970s. His classical fun movies titled "Turist Ömer" were also great hits.
Mr. Alışık was also very interested in poetry and published his poems in a book called "Bir Ömürlük İstanbul".
He is survived by his wife Çolpan İlhan, and son, Kerem Alışık, who is also an artist.
