Image talk:Sagittaria.jpg

I'd like to see the original fish and Wildlife Service page with this image on it. I believe it's a species of Sagittaria, and aquatic plant rather than a Trillium. :-( Neither of the images on the gimp-savy web page IDs as Trillium are. The other one (a blue flower) was a Spiderwort (genus Tradescantia).

The picture you've got displayed on this page is not a Trillium at all. It is a Potamogeton or arrowleaf or some such aquatic.

- Absolutely right! I deleted the link to the image, though I am still new enough here to not know how to get that image out of the system entirely. -- WormRunner 17:15, 12 Nov 2003 (UTC)

- Oh, that's a shame. Anyway, I would rather the picture not be deleted as I am using it on my user page after another user offered it to me. The image deletion system is not currently operational so it would not be possible to delete it even if I wanted to. The best thing to do is to upload a new photo with a new name and add that to the article. This one should be renamed once image deletion is re-enabled so as not to confuse people about what a trillium is. It is best that images are given unique names so they do not overwrite existing ones. The new one could be called trillium_wormrunner.jpg for example. Thanks for spotting the mistake. [edit] "Trillium.jpg"
Hi Angela. I was wondering if we could rename that image to something like "Sagittaria.jpg" so it would not be confusing to anyone again. I agree it's a nice picture. The genus is clearly Sagittaria, though I cannot tell the species from the picture. (see http://www.ct-botanical-society.org/galleries/sagittarialati.html) regards. WormRunner 20:28, 26 Nov 2003 (UTC)
