The Salisbury Zoo is located on the Delmarva Peninsula in the Salisbury, Maryland city park. It was opened in 1954 and is officially known as the Salisbury Zoological Park. Its collection includes American alligators, flamingos, North American river otters, ocelots, Patagonian Cavys, two-toed sloths, jaguars, llamas, turtles, macaws, rescued raptors and owls, and a spectacled bear.
The Salisbury Zoo is one of the few free public zoos in America.
