Sally Bishai

Sally Bishai is a young Egyptian American writer who focuses on Middle Eastern culture, Americanization/assimilation issues, and Coptic issues from a conservative perspective. Her activism concerns the perception of Arabs, Arab Americans, and Muslims after September 11, as well as the plight of the Copts; she is founder and president of the Copt X Fellowship.
She is author of two self published books Mid-East Meets West and Date Like An Egyptian, as well as founder and editor of the electronic and print self published X Culture Magazine.
Bishai holds a MA in Communication Art from the West Florida University and is currently a doctoral student at Florida State University. Her research interests are in communications theory.
