Sam Lee Gash Jr. (born March 7, 1969 in Hendersonville, North Carolina), is a former American football fullback. In his twelve-year career, he played for the New England Patriots [1992-1997], Buffalo Bills [1998-1999, 2003], and the Baltimore Ravens [2000-2002]. He won a Super Bowl with former New England teammate Ben Coates in 2000, both having been acquired by the Baltimore Ravens. Two time Pro Bowler. He tried out for the New Orleans Saints prior to the 2004 season, but didn't make the 53-man roster.
He is on the New York Jets coaching staff as an assistant running back coach in 2006. In January 2007, Gash hired as the team's new assistant special teams coach for the Detroit Lions.
