Samakh
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Until 1948 Samakh was an Arab village at the south end of the Sea of Galilee in Palestine (now Israel). It was abandoned in the Israel War of Independence on 28 April 1948 when it was captured by the Golani Brigade.
There was battle there in World War I: see Battle of Megiddo (1918)#Destruction of the Turkish Armies.
