Samuel Goldberg

Samuel Benedict Goldberg (March 19, 1900 - December 10, 2006) was one of the last surviving American veterans of World War I. Goldberg was born and died in Greenville, Rhode Island. In 1917, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the U.S. Army Cavalry Division. However, Samuel never saw combat during the war and was a drill instructor.
