Sandy Springs is a below-ground station in the MARTA rail system. It serves offices near State Route 400 and Abernathy Road. As of April 2006 2,211 daily fares were collected at the gates.
It is adjacent to a large shopping complex that includes a multiplex movie theater, the only MARTA station to have one so close.

Sandy Springs has 1170 daily and long term parking spaces available for MARTA users which are located in one parking deck. Daily parking (less than 24 hours) is free; long term parking is charged at US$4 per day, including the first day.
