[edit] Biography
Sanjay is a 10-year-old Indian boy who is one of Timmy's "back up friends," whom he spends time with when Chester and A.J. aren't around. Just like the others, Sanjay is also tortured by Vicky as a baby-sitter. He also has a sharp accent, as does his mother, and lives on an army base with his mother, stepfather (who is a United States Marine Corps drill instructor), and stepbrother. He loves his stepfather very much, even if he makes him do 100 push-ups every morning at 5:00 a.m (what makes it even harder is that his stepfather doesn't know how to count properly). Sanjay is Hindu.
During the episode "The Big Superhero Wish," Sanjay turned into "The Sonic Youth" (powers based on Banshee from the X-Men comic series and the name from the rock band Sonic Youth), who has a powerful scream to shatter windows using sonic waves. He loves books and is very intelligent, though not as much as A.J. is. In the episode "Escape From Unwish Island," Sanjay says he dreams about being rescued by Timmy on a white horse (implying that he might be Homosexual). Sanjay once described actor/critic-puncher Sylvester Calzone as having a well-oiled chest. His first appearance was in episode 16, "Hail to the Chief." His name is first stated in "Shelf Life." Sanjay is the least well-known friend to Timmy in the show due to his brief appearances in 23 episodes. Timmy even forgets Sanjay's name sometimes. Despite the fact that Sanjay loves to read, he doesn't like reading manuals as stated in Odd, Odd West episode. Sanjay is also the leader of the Library Assistance club at Dimmsdale elementary.
