Santa Tecla, El Salvador
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Santa Tecla is a municipality in the La Libertad department of El Salvador. The municipality has 192,132 people in its municipality.
Its official name was Nueva San Salvador until December 22, 2003, when Santa Tecla (the most commonly used name) became the official name.
Recent urbanistic projects have devastated the coffee plant forest surrounding much of Santa Tecla, in favor for modern gated community projects such as Pinares de Suiza.
