Santa Ynez Valley Union High School in Santa Ynez, California, is a public high school (grades 9-12) serving the Santa Ynez Valley. A little over 1,000 students are enrolled. Santa Ynez High School was founded in 1896. SYVUHS was a 2005 California Distinguished School. The schools mascot is a pirate and its colors are orange and black. Sports teams compete in the CIF Southern Section Los Padres Athletic League.
