Sarkar 2
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sarkar 2 (Hindi: सरकार 2, Urdu: 2 سرکار) is the planned sequel to Sarkar (2005). While Sarkar was inspired from Francis Ford Coppola’s film ‘Godfather’, the movie’s sequel will be completely original.
Even before comparisons could arise, Ram Gopal Varma has made it clear that ‘Sarkar 2’ will have nothing common with Godfather 2 in which actor Al Pacino (as the son) takes over the mafia business after the death of his father (Marlon Brando).
Sarkar 2 will have the father (Amitabh Bachchan ) continuing to be the central figure. His son (Abhishek Bachchan) will be his right hand. The movie will also have Aishwarya Rai playing a very strong character.
The movie’s story will reportedly revolve around the politics of rural Maharashtra and Delhi.
Recently, there have been rumours that Ram Gopal Verma has deferred the idea of making ‘Sarkar 2’ because Aishwarya Rai, the leading lady, is giving second thoughts to the project, but it has now been confirmed that Aishwarya Rai will in fact star in the sequel to Sarkar, opposite of her real-life fiance, Abhishek Bachchan.[1]
