[edit] History
The band's debut album entitled Ultra Payloaded is due to be released on 15th May 2007, with contributions from artists such as John Frusciante and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, former Chili Pepper and Pearl Jam drummer Jack Irons, electronic dance producers Hybrid and Joy Division/New Order bassist Peter Hook.[1] The group has signed with Columbia Records, which is a part of Sony Records[2], on June 6, 2006.
It has been confirmed that the album will include a "lost song" titled "Woman in the Window" with vocals by the late Doors frontman Jim Morrison. The album shall be preceded by a single; 'Wish Upon a Dog Star'
The group made its debut appearance in Los Angeles at the Key Club on July 18, 2005. Tony Kanal of No Doubt filled in on bass and Steve Ferlazzo of DramaGods was on keyboards. This was followed by an additional performance at Lollapalooza 2005, held in Grant Park in downtown Chicago on July 24, 2005.[3][4] [1]
In the February 8, 2007 issue of Rolling Stone magazine, there is mention of a sneak peek listening of the album, claiming "It's definitely far out, but it's Farrell's strongest body of work since Ritual, and this summer, he'll become a Solutionist himself."
