Savas Dimopoulos

Savas Dimopoulos is a Greek particle physicist at Stanford University. He is best known for his creation of the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model with Howard Georgi that is the best candidate for new physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. He won the Sakurai Prize in 2006.
Savas Dimopoulos studied as an undergraduate at the University of Houston. He went to the University of Chicago and studied under Yoichiro Nambu for his doctoral studies.
