SCENAR
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
SCENAR is an acronym for: Self-Control Electro Neuro-Adaptive Regulator. Sometimes also referred to as SKENAR, which is a translation of the Russian spelling.
[edit] Overview
The Scenar is primarily used for pain management. It alters the relative stability of pathologic processes, and stimulates the body to develop dynamic changes through electrotherapy (electric impulses). It facilitates the body through these changes and through the logical completion of the cycle of disease, thus eventually destroying the disease.
Scenar influences the body, via, pseudo-nervous impulses in the form of a spike-shaped impulse. This is a short, high amplitude cycle followed by several lower amplitude cycles all operating at the same frequency (which can be adjustable and variable). The first cycle is strong enough to excite all types of nerve fibers, without causing damage, due to its short duration.
The body controls the work of Scenar via changes of skin impedance, thus establishing an “interactive dialog,” to correct body dysfunctions. The body regulates the structure of each new impulse so that almost every impulse will be different from the previous one.
Whilst principally promoted for pain management, it is also highly effective in promoting healing of damaged tissues such as overstretched muscles, sprains, strains and tears. It also acts beneficially on the endocrine system, promoting the balancing of hormones, particularly female reproductive hormones. In this regard it is of use in painful periods, dysmenorrhea and endometriosis. The ability to change settings such as frequency allow it to be used for very specific purposes such as balancing the autonomic nervous system. In a case of overstimulation of the sympathetic nervous system (stress conditions, raised blood pressure, chronic fatigue, low immune system etc) this detailed protocol involves using specific frequencies to sedate the sympathetic nervous system and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system.
[edit] History
Scenar was developed by the Russian Special Design Bureau and was a closed scientific research project of Soviet Space Medicine. In the late 80s, it became available for use in general medical practice in Russia.
About 6 years ago, Scenar was made available to the rest of the world.
