School Aycliffe

School Aycliffe is a village in County Durham, in England. It is situated a short distance to the west of Newton Aycliffe. The name derives from a Viking called Scula who owned land in this part of south Durham.
The now closed Aycliffe Hospital, a mental health institute, was located here.
School Aycliffe Wetlands is a County Durham wildlife habitat site.
