Following a complaint to the help desk, I have edited the article so that it is consistent with the schools current web page. Capitalistroadster 02:37, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Unfinished?
The article says: "The main contributor to the building was Seymour Schulich, who donated more than 20 million dollars towards the creation of the building - a significant amount, but not enough to finish the job. Ceilings and walls remain grey, bare, and obviously unfinished." This is not true at all. The building is finished in Algoquin Marble inside and out. Yjere is exposed concrete in places, but this is by design, and far less than the raw, exposed concrete seen most elsewhere on the York campus. 74.108.130.214 03:49, 21 September 2006 (UTC) amarshal@yorku.ca
Um surrrrrrrrrrre "by design" ok yeah
great designing there. i think my 4-yr-old niece couldve designed a less obscenely depressing structure
good work architects, good work admin
ah. i'd say unfinished due to the lack of sound-deadening material - even in the library, but especially in the gathering spaces like the marketplace. even right now (Dec 18, 2006 - in the middle of exams) there is work going on in the library. Can't tell exactly, but they are ripping up the carpet and putting down some kind of synthetic, rubbery tile.
