SeaStreak

SeaStreak is a private firm that provides commuter ferry service and special event and sightseeing excursions in New York Harbor. The commuter service runs between points in Manhattan and Central New Jersey.

SeaStreak operates a fleet of four diesel powered catamarans: the SeaStreak Highlands, the SeaStreak Wall Street, the SeaStreak New Jersey and the SeaStreak New York. Each is 141 feet in length and capable of carrying 400 passengers. The maximum speed of the vessels is 42 knots.
The vessels were built by Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding of Somerset, Massachusetts.

SeaStreak routes connect the towns of Atlantic Highlands and Highlands in Monmouth County, New Jersey with Pier 11 (on the East River at Wall Street) and East 34th Street in Manhattan. During the morning rush hour the trip from New Jersey to Manhattan takes approximately 40 minutes.
