Found at http://www.sebastopolplantation.com/. This plantation house and land was built and cultivated by Don Pedro Morin in the 1830s. Located in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, it was bought twenty years later by Polish Colonel Ignatius Szymanski and renamed Sebastopol. At his death, Colonel Szymanski willed his estate to his placée Eliza Romain, a free woman of color, and their son John Szymanski.
