Seda Sayan

Seda Sayan is a Turkish Arabesque singer and TV Variety-show Hostess. She was born in 1965 in Istanbul. Her real name is Aysel Gürsaçar.^[1]

She started her career as an actress. She had attended in several movies in her youth; the most famous one is "imperator" in which she was Kadir Inanir's playmate. She had attended in some TV series too such as: "Sirtimdan vuruldum" (1997) as Gulnaz, "Evimiz olacak mi?" (1999), "Hastayim doktor" (2002). She had also perfomed in the hilarious comedy in 2006, Hababam sinifi 3,5. Now she is hostess of a very popular talk show on channel D in Turkey, which is called "Sabahların Sultani", the last part of this talk show had been shown under the "Sabah Sabah" title. This talk show has already broken the TV records and has become the most popular program.

She has some music albums as well. The most recent is called "bebegim".

She is one of the richest celebrities in Turkey and in the year 2005 she placed the 91st tax champs.

She had won the best classical singer (female) in 1997. According to media-monitoring statistics developed by Ajans Press is the Turkish Media's "Entertainer of the Year", with a record count of 4,307 major media-mentions from January through June 2006.

It is said sometimes she is a Controversial singer because of her outrageous relationships and the things she does. As an example in the summer of 2006 she took the responsibility of Torture victim by herself. The girl's name was Maryam Sak. While she was being treated under intensive care in a hospital in Antalya she was visited by Seda Sayan. She offered Meryem to move to Istanbul with her and live there. Sayan told news reporters that she was ready to do anything for Sak to fully recover and return to her old life as soon as she can. Sayan said she will have Sak transported to an Istanbul hospital on a private jet. “I want to inform the state minister responsible for women that I will be taking care of the young girl from now on.”

Also it is said that she has already the rank of mafia. Through her friendship with Alaattin Cakici's ex-wife, Ugur Kilic. While her "extremely close" relationship with Ugur Kilic provoked rumors, she claimed them all to be false. It is suggested that she has affairs with all the singers in the mafia world and with a good number of mafia bosses. In the mafia world, she has close relations to Dundar Kilic. When in trouble, she asks the mafia rather than the police or the state for help. Together with Tatlises and Sibel Can, she is the third most notorious mafia entertainer.

She is known as a good marksman and for having special rosaries (tespih).

Her first marriage was in 1987 when she got hitched with Ridvan Kilic a football player. A few months later she divorced and her second marriage took place in 1990 when she gave birth to her only son (Ogulcan Engin). Sinan Engin another football player was the second husband. This marriage was her most successful one which lasted for 6 years.

In 1995 she drifted apart and her noisy relation with the most popular Turkish arabesque singer Mahsun Kirmizigul started. This romance lasted for 3 years. For some reason just when they were supposed to get married they broke up.

In 1998 again Sayan married Sonar Yapavik. But as well she divorced. Her 4th marriage took place in 2000 when she tied the knot with Tuncay Kiratli.

In 2003 she married Gohkan Sukur, the brother of famous football player Hakan Sukur. She divorced 11 months after. Recently she was dating Nihat Dogan, a 31 years old singer. But it seems they are drifting apart at the time. And also plenty of boyfriends within.

Her son, Ogulcan Engin, is one of the most talented teenaged football players in Turkey. He is playing in Besiktas right now, the team which his father has the affair with.

Seda Sayan is also the chief of seda magazin which is Turkey's first weekly magazine for women.
