The Seven Great Demon Lords is a fictional group from the Digimon media franchise. This group includes seven powerful and vicious digimon who share the "Demon Lord" type in the Digimon card game (although there does exist other digimon who have the "Demon Lord" type, but are not included in this group).
This digimon group does not appear together in any of the Digimon anime or manga series. However, they are spoken of in the Digimon card game and Digimon Savers, and are antagonists in the digimon games Digimon Savers: Another Mission and Digimon World DS. So far, Leviamon and Lilithmon are the only two Demon Lords which have appeared in neither the anime or the manga.

Each of the Seven Great Demon Lords represent one of the Seven Deadly Sins. These all have symbols, similar to the crests belonging to the Digi-Destined children in Digimon Adventure. All the Demon Lords also have some kind of celestial object assigned to their crest. [1]

The names of all seven digimon in this group is derived from various demons in Christian and Jewish mythology.

Barbamon is an avaricious Digimon who takes on the form of an old wizard with a long rod that can be used to cast magic. He is the most deceitful of the group, representing the sin of Greed and the planet Saturn. Barbamon's name comes from the Hebrew word for the demon Barbatos.

Barbamon, along with the other Demon Lords, are fought in a quest in Digimon World DS. Barbamon the third Demon Lord that the player fights (after defeating Daemon and Beelzemon).

Beelzemon is the Demon Lord who represents Gluttony and the planet Venus. He follows Daemon and "Ghoulmon." He is a fighter that throws himself into battle, and with his power he stands alone at the top of the group,the Nightmare Soldiers. With his cruel personality, he has his favorite shotgun, Berenjena, and rides his motorcycle, Behemoth, all the time, wandering and searching for a strong opponent. Beelzemon's name is derived from Beelzebub, the Hebrew word for Lord of the Flies and a word which is often synonymous with devil.

Beelzemon appears as a boss in the Digimon World DS game, in the quest to defeat the Seven Great Demon Lords. The player gains 100% of Beelzemon's data upon completing this quest.

[edit] Belphemon Rage Mode
Belphemon is the demon lord who represents the sin of Sloth and the planet Mars. His name and some of his characteristics are based on the demon Belphegor.
Belphemon's "Rage Mode" appears when he awakens from his "Sleep Mode". In this form, he has a more defined body, dark brown fur, larger wings, and a more depraved face. His arms are bound with chains, and his energy aura is wrapped around portions of his body. He seems to have a set of energy claws on both hands.

Belphemon is one of the final bosses in Digimon World DS. After defeating the first Demon Lords, Belphemon challenges the player by luring him/her into the final domain, where he and the other Demon Lords ambush the player. When the first six fall in battle, Belphemon will personally fight the player.

- Lampranthus: Release a powerful wave of infernal flames of his chains, destroying everything in his path.
- Gift of Darkness: Attack his foes with a powerful energy blast.

The origins of the malevolent Dark Lord Daemon are shrouded in mystery. It is said he was a high-ranking angel Digimon who attempted to take over the Digital World but was banished to the Dark Area where he became the ruler of all that is evil. He wears a cloak that hides his true diabolical form. He represents the sin of Wrath and the planet Jupiter. Daemon's design is based on that of Satan.

In Digimon World DS, Daemon must be defeated by the player as part of the quest to defeat the Seven Great Demon Lords. Also, a Mummymon can Digivolve into the cloaked version of Daemon (called "Creepymon" in the game in this form).

Leviamon is a colossal crocodillian Digimon with huge jaws. Among the Demon Lords, he is most known for his brute strength. He represents the sin of Envy and planet Mercury. Leviamon is named after the Biblical sea monster Leviathan.

- Rostrum: Leviamon clamps down on his opponent with his massive jaws.
- Cauda: Leviamon slams his enormous tails on the ground, creating a giant fissure in the earth where large bodies of water spew out.

Lilithmon is the only female Demon Lord. She represents the sin of Lust and the Moon. Lilithmon is known as the "Goddess of Darkness". It is said that she is an Ophanimon who fell from grace. She is named after Lilith, Adam's first wife in the Talmud who ran away and had children with demons.
Attacks
- Phantom Pain: Lilithmon spews a bewitching mist of darkness that curses her opponents.
- Nazar Nail: The demonic claws on her decayed right arm is used to slash her enemies, releasing a deadly acidic poison that can corrode everything she touches.

[edit] Lucemon Chaos Mode
Lucemon Chaos Mode is the only member of the Seven Great Demon Lords who is of the Ultimate level (all the other Demon Lords are mega digimon). Lucemon Chaos Mode represents the sin of Pride and the Sun. He is one of the few Digimon able to combine and control the powers of light and darkness. He is named after the fallen angel Lucifer.

Lucemon Chaos Mode appears as the sixth Demon Lord who the player must fight in Digimon World DS.
Attacks
- Paradise Lost Punch (Paradise Lost): An attack combination, it starts with a flurry of punches. Next, he turns around and kicks his opponent straight up into the air. He flies up to meet his opponent and pile drives them into the ground with Earth-shattering force.
- Ultimate Sacrifice (Dead or Alive): He uses an orb of light to hold the target in place and mixes it with an orb of darkness to trap the target in two rotating spheres covered in writing. It explodes moments later, either killing whoever is trapped inside or injuring them.
