Once the Kundalini begins to rise, the practitioner is able to feel hot, cold or tingling sensations in locations on their hands corresponding to the various Chakras.
The cessation of tingling or hot sensations giving way to a cool sensation indicates that the Chakra in question has been cleared or opened.
The right hand represents action, the left represents desire.

[edit] Nadhis
There are three main Nadhis or channels; Ida, Pingla and Shushumana. The Kundalini rises along the Shushumna channel.
- Ida Nadhi - left side, desire, emotions, superego, past
- Shushumna - sustaining and nourishing, balance, present
- Pingala - Right side, action, creativity, future, ego
[edit] Kundalini
Sahaja Yogis believe that the Kundalini is the residual power of God/Primordial energy in each being.
[edit] Thoughtless awareness
(nirvichar samadhi) is a state that occurs once the Kundalini pierces the 7th Chakra (Sahasrara). Once this happens cool vibrations start to be felt on hands and above head.
