SGNL>05 is an EP released by Isis which acts as an extension to their earlier full-length, Celestial. Many themes are repeated (space, the "SGNL" series of interludes, even the production style) and expanded upon from that LP.
Using the style he pioneered with his work in Godflesh and now Jesu, Justin Broadrick reinterpreted the title track from Celestial into a sprawling, trance-inducing mammoth of sound. It is presented here as the closing track, a fitting and decisive end to this era in Isis' discography. Also, the band has performed a version of the song "Celestial" live several times which fuses the original song and this remix together into an epic, 16-minute piece (referred to as "Celestial (Ext/Alt)"), and is available on the Live.02 LP.
In addition to the standard CD and vinyl LP editions, SGNL>05 is available in a combined, deluxe release with its companion full-length, Celestial.
As well, both the control tower and female character themes are reinforced on this release ("Divine Mother (The Tower Crumbles)," "Constructing Towers"). The themes of the other major Isis releases expanded upon these.
