[edit] Superintendent & Principals
The current superintendent of Shaler Area School District is Dr. Donald Lee. The High School Principal is Mr. Suit, and the Assistant Principal is JoAnne Freed, the Intermediate School Principal is Mr. McQuade, and the Vice Principal there is Mr. Brooks. The Middle School Principals are Dr. Stennett, Mr. Aiken and Mr. Johnson.

Shaler's Teams are all nicknamed "The Titans" or "The Lady Titans". The "Lady Titans" softball team were the state champions of the 2005-2006 season.

- On March 9, 2006, the Shaler Area School District received local media attention due to a bomb threat made against the Intermediate School. [1]

In 2002, author Ben Mikaelsen visited Shaler Area Middle School. The 5th grade class presented him with a collage shaped like a whale.
