Shane Geraghty

Shane Geraghty (born 12 August 1986 in Coventry, England, to Irish parents) is a rugby union footballer who plays for London Irish at fly half. He attended Bablake School until 2001. At the age of 20 and he secured himself a first team slot after covering for Riki Flutey's injury and playing well. He represented Ireland rugby union team at U16 level, but has since represented England at every level up to and including International level. His goal for this season is to get an England A cap or a Senior England 7's cap. He was one of the stars of the tournament in the Summer U21's World Cup in Argentina.
So far this season he has scored 43 points in 9 appearances (4 off the bench) and comfortably outplayed David Humphreys (Ireland) in the Heineken Cup round 3 tie between London Irish and Ulster. In January 2007 he signed a three year deal that will keep him at London Irish until the end of the 2009/2010 season.
He was included as one of three fly halves, in Brian Ashton's first ever Elite England Squad for this years Six Nations. He made his debut as a substitute on 11 March 2007 in the RBS Six Nations win against France, playing a huge part in England's vital second try and helping England to win the game by kicking 5 points.
Geraghty won his second cap as a substitute versus Wales in the final game of the 2007 Six Nations.
