Shane Lee was born August 8, 1973 in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia and was an Australian cricketer.
Shane, an all-rounder, was a hard hitting batsman and fast-medium bowler. He was a promising junior representing the Australia U-19 team. He first played for New South Wales in 1991 and was called up for the Australian one day team in 1993.
Shane was in the 1996 and 1999 World Cup squads but only really established himself in the team in the 1998-1999 Carlton and united Series along with the emergence of his brother fast bowler Brett Lee.
Shane also had a successful season with Somerset, scoring over 1,000 runs in 1996 and Worcestershire in the English County Championship.
Shane retired from cricket aged 29 due to knee injuries. Between 1993 and 2001 he played 69 one day internationals scoring 492 runs and taking 63 wickets.
As a special guest, he and Brett Lee were in the show Changing Rooms hosted by Suzie Wilks where they renovated each others room with help from a professional designer.
