Opened in July 2003, the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney (formerly was ANA Harbour Grand Hotel) is situated within the historic Rocks district with striking views of Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Just a short walk from Circular Quay ferry terminal and the city's main shopping and commercial districts providing easy access to Sydney's famous beaches and the North Shore. The hotel is 20 minutes drive from Kingsford Smith International Airport.
The hotel has 563 guestrooms and suites. It also hosts a number of restaurants, notably the Altitude Restaurant, as well as others featuring Continental, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Malay, Thai and Indian dishes.
The hotel had completed a A$37 million re-imaging program in 2005 resulting in a sleek makeover throughout the property. The design concept is from internationally renowned design firm, Brennan Beer Gorman Monk/Interiors, an American company which is also based in Sydney. BBGM has expertise in the design of first class hotels and resorts with a portfolio of projects including work in 20 countries over five continents.

Recently, the hotel launched "Early Arrival Kit" aimed at visitors who just arrived early in the morning from long-haul flights. The kit contains information on attractions, maps, discount coupons, free Internet access and discount buffet breakfast privileges. [1]
