Shashi Deshpande

Shashi Deshpande (b.1938)She is a daughter of a famouse dramatist and writer Shriranga. Shashi Deshpande is an award-winning Indian novelist. She published her first collection of short stories in 1978, and her first novel in 1980. She is a winner of the Sahitya Akademi Award for the novel That Long Silence. Her works also include children's books.
