Shastasaurs were the largest of all ichthyosaurs. Shonisaurus, a shastasaurid, grew to 50 feet long. Shastasaurs ate fish and other small underwater vertabrates, like ammonites, sharks, etc. This group inclued the genera Shonisaurus, Shastasaurus, and Himalayasaurus.
