Sheemie Ruiz

Sheemie Ruiz is a character in the Stephen King series The Dark Tower. He is a mentally challenged boy who works in a bar in Hambry. He is in fact gifted with the touch, or telepathic powers. He has the ability to teleport and create locations that exist out of time and space. In Stephen King's book The Dark Tower, Sheemie (under a different name) can make portals between our world and Roland's world.

He made a brief appearance in The Gunslinger born comic book series. Jonas just refers to him as "retard", so the fact that it is indeed Sheemie is highly plausible.

Roland states that he and his friends suspected him of being special, especially when Sheemie seemed to teleport across a bridge that had its ropes cut (an event not actually seen by any of the other characters).
