Shi can be:
- The Chinese term (詩) for poetry. Refer to Shi (poetry).
- One of several Chinese family names: (施 shī, 時 or 石 shí, or 史 shǐ).
- The royal family name (施) of the pre-history in China.
- The royal family name (石) of the Later Zhao in China.
- A lowest rank of Chinese noble 士 during Zhou Dynasty. Later the character simply means a government official.
- A piece (士 or 仕) in Chinese chess.
- A Japanese suffix (市) designating the size of a municipality as being a city of at least population 50,000.
- Romanisation of the Japanese kana し and シ
- Shi, a book by Mikhail Petrovich Artsybashev
- Shi (comic book) is a comic book series created by William Tucci.
- Shi is also a gender neutral pronoun. Refer to Sie
- Shi is also a hermaphroditic pronoun when used in fastsy contexts, most commonly in the furry community.
