Shinobi

Shinobi (忍び) is the Japanese word for ninja In terms of sameness, a Shinobi is the same as a Ninja in that the word Shinobi is translated to Ninja in english. Those who follow the path of a shinobi generally end up facing or have faced loneliness. Those who embark on the journey to be a top ninja, have to complete many tasks that force them to follow the path alone. The tasks include finding the spirit beast or creature that is within, becoming 'one' with many of natures forces eg/ wind, fire, lightning. These tasks are important because when the shinobi has accomplished all these tasks then can they truly be accepted. It may also refer to:
- Shinobi (arcade game), the original video game developed by Sega
- Shinobi (PlayStation 2), the PlayStation 2 sequel.
- Shinobi (series), a series of video games following on from the original
- Shinobi: Heart Under Blade, a Japanese film
- An enemy in the MMORPG Ragnarok Online
- Professional wrestler Allen Sarven, who used "Shinobi" as one of his ring names.
- A term used in the movie DOA: Dead or Alive referring to an outcast ninja who betrays its clan.
