Short Hill Mountain is a mountain ridge in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Rising sharply from Hillsboro in Loudoun County, Virginia, the ridge bisects the northern Loudoun Valley before dropping precipitously to the Potomac River. North of the Potomac, Short Hill Mountain continues as South Mountain in Maryland and Pennsylvania. To the west of the range lies an area of Loudoun known as Between the Hills which includes the villages of Loudoun Heights and Neersville.
