Show Racism The Red Card
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Show Racism the Red Card (SRTRC) is a campaign in the British Isles to stamp out racism from British society as well as association football. It is a member of the Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) network. By employing the popularity of high-profile footballers and managers, such as Thierry Henry, Derek Ferguson, Mustapha Hadji and Sir Bobby Robson, the organization hopes to educate youth about the detrimental affects of racism. Henry is among the most outspoken voices in these campaignes, himself having been the target of racial slurs from opposing players as well as coaches, including the Spanish national team's head coach.
