[edit] WPITThank you for joining the Inheritance Trilogy WikiProject. Having an administrator in the Project will greatly help improve things falling under the project's control. I can't wait till you get active with this! Icelandic Hurricane #12 18:40, 10 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] My RFAHi Shreshth91/Archive6,Thank you for your vote in my recent unsuccesful RFA. I will strive to overcome any shortcomings you may have mentioned & will try & prove myself worthy of your vote. Cheers Srikeit(talk ¦ ✉) 10:14, 13 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] my rfaHi Shreshth - thanks for your kind words, enthusiasm and confidence in me. I really appreciate your support and encouragement. I don't know about 100, much less 200, but I'm already brimming with pleasure over the support I'm receiving. Even if it stops here, I'm on top of the world. This really means a lot. Rama's Arrow 15:44, 13 May 2006 (UTC) P.S. - there is always 1% chance of things going wrong. I don't want anybody to get the impression that this is gonna be an outright success. I'm mentally prepared for any outcome. Rama's Arrow 15:44, 13 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] The Medal of Honor UnionI saw that the creator of the article removed the prod, and I also noticed it was deleted earlier. Should it go under an AfD and end the recreation once and for all? Thunderbrand 15:51, 14 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] thanksHi Shreshth91 - I'm very sorry to have disappointed your expectation in me, but it had become impossible for me to compromise my principles. I don't covet adminship at all, so it wasn't a difficult decision. However, I cannot tell you how greatly joyous I feel at the enthusiastic, wonderful support you expressed for me. I don't know how hard it will be to understand that your supports means extremely a lot to me. I thank you from my heart, and please let me know if I can ever be assistance or help in anything. Btw - let's finish the work on FR/DP/FD. Rama's Arrow 19:42, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hi ShreshthI know you may be busy with exams, but I was wondering if you could help me understand this: [1]. I've never thrown a personal attack. Is this type of behaviour acceptable from admins? I'm a physician and I've spent the night (it's 6 AM here now) editing wikipedia in the ward room between taking care of patients. It's somewhat frustrating to have to deal with this. Thanks. -- Samir धर्म 10:11, 15 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Esperanza User Page AwardsShreshth91, thanks for signing up for the Esperanza User Page Contest. The judges have received the fifteen entries, and are ready to start judging. The judges will take a week to complete the judging process, and they will contact all the participants when the judging is done.
[edit] Sukh's RFA - Thanks!Thank you for your vote on my RfA. Unfortunately there was no consensus reached at 43 support, 18 oppose and 8 neutral. I've just found out that there is a feature in "my preferences" that forces me to use edit summaries. I've now got it enabled :) Thanks again. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 15:54, 20 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] FR/DP/FDHi Shreshth - yeah I've replied immediately. I will help out tomorrow with the editing, and then lemme know if it comes out better. Also, I advise that you ask some of the other guys to weigh in, so we can get a better perspective. How busy are you - can we aim for an FAC early or mid of this coming week? Rama's Arrow 04:12, 21 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Pe:PINSACHi, I would have done that already. But I am not able to locate the template that says that the nomination failed (which needs to be put up on the talk page). Do you know what is the name of this template? Also, I am missing the template that says that the article was once a SA in Portal India. I want to find them first before going ahead with the removal as it will make things more complicated. -Ambuj Saxena (talk) 05:16, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WPIT-Battle of Burning PlainsThanks so much for the article. I was only slightly hopeful that someone would take it open themselves to right a slightly comprehensive article and you went beyond any expectation I may have had. You've honestly impressed me as I'm sure you've impressed countless others. Keep up the good work and the excellent representation of what a true Desai can do. I'll support you from the other side of the world. Aznph8playa2 21:44, 22 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] re: Template:User new messageThanks for the info. It looks like the color option changes the background color of the box but not the border color. Maybe we can add an option for the template which changes the border color. 12:45, 23 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] EWS23's RfAHi Shreshth! Thanks for your "pile on" support of my RfA. :o) I assure you, every single comment was appreciated, even the pile ons. If you ever see me doing something that I could be doing better, feel free to send me a message. Thanks again! EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 23:16, 23 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] RE: Thanks!Wow, thanks! BTW, a whois lookup shows that it's registered to Adelphia, which I believe has shared IPs, so you might want to shorten the block a bit :) --Rory096 07:17, 24 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] FR/DP/FD, Patel and AnwarHi - please check the new section "Genesis" that I've added. I will do copyediting on the article as well. Rama's Arrow 20:51, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] CorbinSimpson's Request for Adminship
Thanks for voting in my request for administrator rights, even though it failed (13/30/4). Sadly, work has forced me to respond to you all using a substituted message rather than a personalized response. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that administrators, to me, should be chosen and approved by the community, and I will continue working to become a better editor and Wikipedian. No matter what the alignment of your vote was, I will take your comments seriously and use them to improve myself. If you wish to discuss your comments personally with me, I would be more than glad to talk about things since the RfA is now over; just leave your concern on my talk page and we will sort things out. Thanks again for voting, and happy editing! - Corbin Be excellent
[edit] Re:Battle of Burning PlainsWell, it's still a good article. I doubt there could be much more to add to it. Could there? Plus, by the time it gets chosen, if it does, it will probably be not so new. And about the FA standards, I'm not the best at selecting FA articles. Plus, I wouldn't nominate it now. I just said that to get feedback on how to make it better, so that it could be nominated. Icelandic Hurricane #12(talk) 11:09, 25 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] anti-reservation in "in the news" main pageHi! Please check these edits to see if they're ok. On a serious note, I've found many embedded errors in the writing, (unfounded and POV assertions in descriptions), grammar, etc. I'm proceeding to weed these out, and I suggest a toothcomb approach to examining sentences in various sections. I'm confident, however, that this article will become FAC-ready by Sunday. Rama's Arrow 04:18, 27 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Info needed on the followingHi again - please check if you can provide more information in the article on the following topics:
Rama's Arrow 04:22, 27 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] ReplyNo I'm afraid the bold points need to stay - the point is, every constitutionally defined right or duty must be in bold text to separate from the explanation. Also, the italics was not looking good or well-defined. Rama's Arrow 15:55, 27 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Serious questionsHi Shreshthbhai - upon examining the article, I find many serious embedded errors and a basic problem that the prose, the writing is poor. In addition to this, I don't know if the topics covered are comprehensive enough. Please see user talk:Taxman#Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles and Fundamental Duties of India. I'm sorry about this but this article can't go to FAC just yet. Rama's Arrow 18:34, 27 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Inheritance trilogyRegarding the Inheritance trilogy articles: I see that you've moved the character articles with (Inheritance trilogy) back to (Inheritance). But do you think that all Inheritance articles should be like that, or only the characters? Also, regarding the title, do you think it's more fit to have (Inheritance trilogy) or (Inheritance)? Personally, I don't really mind that much with either (though does Inheritance triogy give more detail regarding the topic instead of just Inheritance?), but it would be nice if all articles could be assimilated.
