Silkscreen (typeface)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Silkscreen is a popular, four member, all-uppercase typeface family created by professional blogger Jason Kottke. Silkscreen is best used in places where extremely small graphical display type is needed, such as in web graphics. It is freely available and redistributable as long as attribution is given and no changes are made.
Similar fonts were very popular in the 80's with 8-bit computers such as the ZX Spectrum, MSX, Amstrad CPC and Commodore 64 due to the very limited screen resolution, usually about 256x192.
