Sillikers, New Brunswick
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sillikers, New Brunswick is located on the Little Southwest branch of the Miramichi River[1], some five kilometers from Sunny Corner[2] along Highway 420.
One of the most prominent landmarks presently located in Sillikers is the Little Southwest Baptist Church[3] est. 1845. With a congregation of over 150 meeting weekly, this church serves the spiritual needs of many area families.
As of September 1, 2006, the Little Southwest Baptist Church is pastored by Rev. Terry D. Woodcock and assistant Colin A. Holmes[4].
Also located in Sillikers is the Upper Oxbow Outdoor Adventures[5]. The Norton's, Debbie & her husband Dale, welcome anglers to their fishing and hunting facility which includes a main lodge, cabins and a new lodge for large groups or small banquets.
Two other areas of interest for summer activities are Kenzie's Tubing & Stewart's Tubing [6]. Both of these businesses flourish during the height of the summer tourist season with weekenders coming from the three maritime provinces and tourists from around the world happening here to "float down" the river; a one to three hour time of leisure.
