Sir Edmund Cradock-Hartopp, 1st Baronet

Sir Edmund Cradock-Hartopp ( 21 April 1749 - 1837) was born Edmund Bunney, the son of Joseph Bunney and Mary Cradock in Freathby, Leicestershire. He changed his name upon his marriage to Anne Hurlock in 1777 to Cradock-Hartopp consequent upon the provisions of the wills of his uncle Joseph Cradock and his wife's grandfather Sir John Hartopp, 4th Baronet.
He was Member of Parliament for Exmouth in 1798 and for Leicestershire 1798- 1806.
In 1792 he acquired Four Oaks Hall, Sutton Coldfield the town of which he was briefly Warden in 1823.
He was awarded the Baronetcy in 1796. He was succeeded by his son Edmund Cradock-Hartopp, 2nd Baronet.
