Six Days of Ghent

The Six Days of Ghent (Dutch: Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Gent) is a six-day track cycling race held annually in Ghent, Belgium.
It takes place in the Kuipke velodrome in Ghent's Citadelpark.
The 2006 event was held from the 21 to 26 November but was marred by the death of one of the participating cyclists. During the fifth day's racing, Isaac Gálvez was involved in a serious crash in which he received critical injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but died on the way there.
