Thanks for taking the time to look at this page. Hopefully it gives sufficient background to allow others to be aware of any unintentional bias that may be shown in edits that I make in the Wikipedia or other Wikimedia projects.

I am a research psychologist at the University of Cambridge, in the UK. My PhD examined the use of linguistic context by children with autism, and I now work with Professor Nick Mackintosh and Dr Kate Plaisted, examining sex differences in the way in which people solve the Raven's Matrices (a form of IQ test widely used by employers and educational institutions).

When I'm not wearing my psychologist's hat, I am also heavily involved with broadcast radio production, and am the lighting designer for many of Ely Cathedral's after-dark events. I also enjoy cycling in the East Anglia area, and spending time with friends in local pubs.
