Skanderborg

Skanderborg, with a population of 22,244, is a town in central Denmark, located in Skanderborg municipality, Jutland. The town has two churches, one of which was once a part of the Skanderborg castle, which was a hunting retreat of Danish kings during the 12th-16th centuries.
Since 1980, a music festival has been held annually in a forest in the vicinity of Skanderborg, the Skanderborg Festival. It is known as "Denmark’s Most Beautiful Festival".
