Sky Soap was a British Sky Broadcasting channel that showed a mix of American and British soap operas, including Emmerdale Farm and Take the High Road.
The channel began broadcasting on October 3, 1994[1] from the Astra 1C satellite on weekdays between 12pm and 4pm. In 1997, it moved to Astra 1B with a new start time of 11am. Sky Soap eventually ceased transmission on April 30, 1999 due to poor viewing figures.
