Slainte
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Slainte was a celtic band originally from Tacoma, Washington. They placed multiple albums on the now-defunct MP3.com where their recordings were frequently downloaded. According to their website, they played "reels, jigs, hornpipes, slip jigs, polkas, and [performed] Irish songs". In February 1998, the Tacoma News Tribune praised the band's "hauntingly beautiful singing."[1]
Their name is derived from a Gaelic toast wishing "good health".
