It's difficult to find details about Slavica. I can't seem to find any mention of when she and Bernie actually married, of where she was born (bar "Croatia"), much else about her modelling career (bar "Armani") including when she started, and the details of the Ecclestone's bizantine system of holding companies is (deliberately, I'm sure) unfathomably complex. Any more info anyone has (perhaps in the former-yugoslavian press) would be good. Thanks. Middenface 01:31, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)

About the language barrier: Ecclestone seems to talk or understand some Italian, probably from the days of sponsorship and business with Parmalat. I think that at some point he was even legally resident in Italy. alessio 10:53, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I read in a Serbian magazine that she was born in Maglajani to Serbian parents,a place near Laktasi in Bosnia(R.Srpska)and that she donated a crystal chandelier to a Orthodox church in Aleksandovac(Serbia).

I am sorry but I don't think we can call that a valid source according to the Wikipedia verifiability rule, the site is more alike to yellow press more than anyting else. Slavic herslef has on several occasions claimed that she was born in Rijeka and she is also well known for her lobbying for Croatian wherever she goes. Tar-Elenion 17:08, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

All the sources arent "yellow press" as you put it, we have 4 sources of which 3 cant be considered as yellow press. You haven´t provided ANY source claiming she is croat...

Hmm, I find it strange/interesting that her own daughter says that she is Croatian, if you look at her Wiki page:

"My parents are opposites who balance each other out. My mum, Slavica, is passionate and overexciteable. She's good friends with Goran Ivanisevic, her fellow Croatian. I'll never forget watching him win Wimbledon. My dad sits at home and whatever sport's on, he's watching it. He's just as passionate, but he's very British, very reserved. He'll clap politely while mum's jumping off the sofa. When it comes to watching Croatia v England, the house is divided: Mum, sister Petra and me versus Dad."

Why would a Serb root for Croatia and call a Croatian her "countrymen"? All I see from her interview is that she says she is Orthodox. Maybe she has mixed ancestry? Who knows. But I don't want to get involved with this, you people can duke it out.--Jesuislafete 04:46, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
