I am from Okemos, MI. I lived there for the first eighteen years of my life, graduated from Okemos high school, and so forth. I graduated in 2004.

I'm pro-choice. I believe that, since a child relies on its mother for life, the child's fate is in the mother's hands. I also believe, however, that the father should be at least consulted before an abortion is performed, and that the abortion should not occur during the third trimester.

I tend to err on the side of liberality when it comes to social issues such as abortion, gay marriage, etc. I am very opposed to affirmative action. Economically, as well as in global politics, I tend to be more conservative.

As I said above, I am against affirmative action. I believe that any program which segregates different races into groups should be abolished; current scientific evidence shows that races are not biologically sound categories. Affirmative action in a socioeconomic context, on the other hand, would merit my full support.
