The Slippery Rock Sliders are a minor league baseball team based in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. The team is a member of the independent Frontier League, and is not associated with any Major League Baseball team. Players are able to sign with Major League Baseball organizations throughout the Frontier League season.
The Slippery Rock Sliders will play at Jack Critchfield Park beginning in the 2007 season. The team is owned by the league and was formed to ensure an even number of teams after the formation of the Southern Illinois Miners. The Sliders will play only 1/3 of their games at home and the rest on the road.
