Smirking Chimp

The Smirking Chimp is an American political blog and message board website. Its name is intended as a derisive reference to George W. Bush. The Smirking Chimp's premise is that Bush resembles a chimpanzee, an apparent reference to a widely-circulated montage of several photos of Bush and chimpanzees with similar facial expressions [1]. The site features a split image matching up half of Bush's face on one side with that of a chimp on the other.
The site has a strong anti-Bush political orientation. In addition to directing criticism at Bush, it regularly targets other leading Republicans and the Republican Party in general.
